Founder and Head Instructor

Professor Luiz has been training jiu jitsu since 1986, with over 30 years of jiu jitsu., and he is a 5th Degree Black Belt directly under Master Rickson Gracie. He started his journey in Brazil, then made his way to the United States to pursue his dream of teaching. Luiz is a multiple time world champion, as well as a UFC Coach.

Professor Thiago has been training jiu jitsu since 1986, with over 30 years of jiu jitsu, and he is a 5th Degree Black Belt directly under Master Rickson Gracie. He started his journey in Brazil, then made his way to the United States to pursue his dream of teaching. Thiago is a multiple time world champ.

Stephanie Rojkin

Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT)

Stephanie Rojkin is a dedicated Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) with a heartfelt commitment to supporting special-needs children. Raised alongside two brothers with special needs, Stephanie’s passion for this field was ignited at a young age, shaping her career path and inspiring her to make a positive impact in the lives of others.


In addition to her work in behavioral health, Stephanie proudly served in the U.S. Navy, where she developed resilience and discipline that continue to influence her professional approach. A martial arts enthusiast, she brings a unique blend of physical and mental training to her life, having a background in boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.


Fluent in both Spanish and English, Stephanie is able to connect with a diverse range of individuals, ensuring that her support is accessible to all. With her unique experiences and skills, she is dedicated to fostering understanding and growth in every child she works with.

Daniel Mejia

Founder and Head Instructor

Daniel Mejia has dedicated the last 12 years of his life to mastering the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, channeling his passion into a lifelong journey of growth and self-improvement. As a licensed practical nurse, Daniel brings a unique perspective to his teaching, combining his extensive medical knowledge with the physical and mental discipline of martial arts. He is certified in CPR and ACLS and has worked in a variety of challenging environments, including hospitals, hospice care, correctional nursing, and home health. This diverse background enables him to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.


Beyond his professional achievements, Daniel is a proud father of four, striving to instill the values of perseverance, respect, and dedication in both his family and his community. Fluent in English and Spanish, he is committed to making Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu accessible to a wide range of students, using the sport as a vehicle for self-improvement and community engagement.


Through his Jiu-Jitsu school, Daniel hopes to inspire others to embark on their own journeys of personal development, fostering a community that values health, discipline, and mutual respect. His mission is to use Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a tool for positive change, helping individuals of all ages and backgrounds to realize their full potential.

Kimberly Murillo 

Assistant Coach 

Kimberly was first introduced to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) in 2013 while preparing for her career in law enforcement. She quickly developed a passion for the art, and after deciding to devote herself fully to motherhood, Kimberly returned to the mats in 2019, training and competing full-time. In 2022, she took a brief pause to welcome her fourth child, a son, but has since come back with renewed commitment to her journey in BJJ.


As a dedicated mother to three daughters and a son, Kimberly believes deeply in the power of jiujitsu to build confidence, resilience, and self-empowerment. She encourages her daughters to train as a way to enhance self-improvement and inner strength. Kimberly’s mission extends beyond her own family, as she aims to create a safe, welcoming environment for women to experience the benefits of grappling. Through her coaching and passion for competition, she is dedicated to growing the female community in jiujitsu and empowering women of all backgrounds to step onto the mat and discover their potential.
